Community Listserv

The AVCC administers a 600-member community listserv where you can engage in discussions about conservation in Vermont and share events and opportunities. Have something to share? Send an email to vtconservation@googlegroups.com and your email will go to the whole list.

Email vtconservation+subscribe@googlegroups.com to subscribe to the listserv.

If you have an email address through Google, you can also catch up on past listserv activity at https://groups.google.com/g/vtconservation.

Please note: Messages and opinions expressed on this listserv are those of the author and are not necessarily viewpoints of the Association of Vermont Conservation Commissions (AVCC), our members, or other listserv subscribers.

Code of Conduct

We hope to foster an inclusive community with our listserv, and all members share responsibility for maintaining an environment where everyone can participate fully and safely. When we share information or have a discussion through the listserv, we like to ask ourselves, “Whose perspective is this information coming from? Is it inclusive of voices from different genders, races, experiences, etc.? What are my sources for this information?” We invite you to consider these questions as well.

Any uses of the listserv or communications therein that do not uphold the standard of inclusive and respectful dialogue will not be tolerated. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to: personal attacks, harassment, discriminatory language, sharing another member’s contact information or messages for the purpose of harassment or ridicule, and posting content that is intentionally misleading or made in bad faith.

Do not use the forum for commercial purposes, including advertisements for products or services, notices regarding rental of office space, or direct solicitations of listserv members to purchase products or services.

Do not share confidential or privileged information through the listserv. Posts may be forwarded or archived and may be subject to public disclosure requests.

Please only reply to the full listserv if your comment adds value for the entire group, such as clarifying questions or additional resources.  Reply directly to the sender for personal messages, notes of appreciation, or any other communication with limited relevance.

The AVCC Board of Directors reserves the right to remove offending content and/or members when and where necessary. Listserv members that are suspended or removed will be informed of violations and maintain the right to appeal our decision if they feel it was made in error.

Thank you for engaging in thoughtful, respectful dialogue about Vermont’s natural resources and the people who steward them.
